Netherland’s Corpus museum
The Corpus Museum, located in Oegstgeest near Leiden in the Netherlands, offers a unique and interactive journey through the human body. Opened in 2008 by Queen Beatrix, it is heralded as the world’s first museum of its kind.
The museum’s most striking feature is its colossal, 115-foot-tall human-shaped building, which visitors physically enter to embark on a 55-minute „journey through the human body.” This immersive experience takes guests on a fascinating tour from the knee all the way up to the brain, utilizing advanced technology, 3D effects, and sensory stimuli like sound and smell to explain complex biological processes.
