Polish couple arrested over fake supplements scam targeting thousands

Polish law enforcement has dismantled a sophisticated „mass counterfeiting” operation led by a 43-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman accused of defrauding thousands of health-conscious consumers. Operating since late 2024, the couple allegedly produced and distributed illegal dietary supplements designed to mimic reputable Polish and international brands, selling them via online platforms for prices ranging from 50 to 300 złoty (€11 to €70).

The scam involved a meticulous process of commissioning identical labels and sourcing matching packaging to deceive customers seeking vitamins for heart and liver health. However, behind the professional exterior lay a production environment that authorities described as „far from sterile”.
