Basura and Yerba Madre create shoes „literally made out of dirt”
In a unique collaboration, the New York-based design studio Basura and the beverage company Yerba Madre have created a conceptual art project: „Dirt Shoes.” These shoes are literally made from compacted earth, plant fibers, and tree sap, held together by biodegradable binders. They are designed to be worn for a short time before they begin to disintegrate, scattering embedded wildflower seeds with every step. The project serves as a statement of regeneration and a commitment to giving more back to the planet than is taken.
