For generations, growing up meant playing outside until the streetlights came on, riding bikes around the neighborhood, and untangling minor playground disputes without an adult in sight. Today, that unstructured freedom has largely vanished, replaced by hyper-vigilant scheduling, tracking apps, and a culture of pervasive anxiety. Enter Let Grow, a national nonprofit dedicated to counteracting the „helicopter parenting” epidemic by safely giving children their autonomy back. Founded on the principle that overprotection smothers resilience, the organization works with schools, parents, and lawmakers to restore the vital independent experiences that help kids grow into confident, capable, and self-reliant adults.
