Meditating or Rebooting? A Robot Buddhist Monk Comes to South Korea
Leading a solemn procession of chanting monks into the historic Jogye Temple, the newest member of South Korea’s largest Buddhist sect looked a bit different than his peers. Dressed in a ceremonial gray and brown robe, a rosary draped over his frame, Gabi brought his flesh-colored gloved hands together in prayer and vowed to devote himself to the holy Buddha.
He also promised not to overcharge his battery.
